Welcome to my
This blog showcases a curated selection of weddings, commissions, and photo shoots that exemplify my proudest moments, each accompanied by the unique and compelling stories behind the captured images.
'A picture is worth a thousand words', but a little context would be helpful!
This is shoot has been formulating in my mind for some time and I am so excited to finally bring this concept to life at my favourite time of the year. This idea is very much a reflection of my own interest in classical and romantic literature and films, how love has been portrayed as eternal and what that would mean for those truly forever in love with their soulmate. The idea of two people finding love and committing to one another, and that love surpassing the boundaries of time, is a powerful symbol of love and unity and one which my former gothic self would ponder over while watching, The Crow and Crimson Peak (two of my favourite films). Both have an element of the power of love, and how even after death your partner can be with you.
Proof that having a small, registry office wedding is just as romantic and meaningful as a big fancy party. You don't need to look any further than Meca and Johns intimate vows at the registry office in Southampton. This booking came to me in a slightly unconventional route, as I was booked by a group of their close friends and as a surprise! Not only did their friends not want them to miss out on capturing the special memories of the day, but I'm sure the limited capacity had those curious pals wanting to see the beautiful ceremony as well! Meeting with the couple on the day can be a struggle but I soon had this gorgeous pair strutting their stuff along the streets by the harbor and enjoying every second of it.
had the pleasure of doing a small styled shoot on Highcliffe beach last season, which aimed to showcase small business owners and a simple and elegant theme. It featured two talented dancers who played the roles of our bride and groom models and the theme we chose was a romantic 'pic nic on the beach' for Valentine's Day.
To make the shoot even more special, we collaborated with some amazing artists and vendors. To Be Adorn provided beautiful fiber art and accessories that added a unique touch to the setting. Harriliegh Designs created stunning invitations that perfectly matched the theme. And let's not forget the delicious snacks provided by Sarah B, which added a touch of indulgence to our romantic feast.
