My terms and conditions have been constructed for the benefit of you too!

How would you describe your style of photography?

My style is considered relaxed, romantic and documentary style. This means that I strive to capture candid, emotional and beautiful shots without too much posing or interrupting the events of the day.

Have you photographed my venue before?

As part of my free, pre-wedding consultation meeting we will discuss the venue, for the ceremony and reception and any local landmarks which you may wish to sneak off to for a quick photoshoot. This meeting will be at least a month before your wedding, and I will always scout a location I am not familiar with to ensure I am fully prepared and inspired for you.

Do you bring your own lighting?

Yes! I bring several flash units and my full kit (and backups) on the day.

Do you work from a shot list?

Just because my style suggests otherwise, does not mean I am happy to receive direction especially when it comes to the ‘family shots’. I encourage my couples to list out the group shots they are keen to get as I understand how important it is to get a photo with all the aunties, nanas and parents . It is ESSENTIAL for there to be a designated wrangler on the day who knows the bridal party and family (a helpful maid of honour will know Auntie Jean by sight, whereas I would not know she cannot hear me shout as she's turned her hearing aid off!).

Can I request certain images are taken at the Wedding?

Of course! This is a question I will ask during your pre-wedding consultation and one which most do not think much on. I am more than happy to discuss ideas and images sent to me during the lead up to your wedding as it gives me the opportunity to deliver something very special for you. I will however be very clear if your request is unlikely to be achieved but will suggest an alternative which is obtainable.

How long are you with us on the day?

I do not adhere to a strict timer on the day but do outline the amount of coverage in my packages (6,10 or 12hours). At your pre-wedding consultation we will set a time that I will be needed from in the morning for the bridal party prep (as early as 9am if needed) and will work out the amount of coverage needed to cover your events. More coverage can be added to packages to ensure I do not miss any special moments or packages can be upgrade up to one month before your big day. 

How much does additional coverage cost?

If you would like me to stay for longer than your package covers I would be happy to make a personalised quotation to better suit your needs. Extra coverage is charged per hour and is subject to my availability. 

Do you have a second shooter?

A second shooter can be arranged if requested and at additional cost.

How many images can I expect to see from the Wedding?

Depending on the size and duration of your wedding you can expect to receive between 200-800 fully edited images for the Full Day Package. For other options please see my pricing page.

Is there a limit to the number of photographs I will have edited?

There is no limit, all suitable images will be fully edited.

What does ‘editing’ involve?

Editing is a very loose term used to describe everything that happens to your photos after they are taken and up until they are finished and delivered to you. This can include days of work, including selecting the best photos, colour correcting, blemish erasing, digital airbrushing, object removal, cleaning the accidental spill off the dress and many more interesting scenarios before they are formatted, saved and uploaded to your memory stick and password protected online gallery.

How long do I have to wait for the finished images?

As mentioned above, editing can take from between 4 days to 2 weeks depending on the task ahead. At busy times it could take up to 3 months for you to receive your finished images as I would not like to rush them.

How do I get my photos?

When your images are ready, I deliver your memory stick and online gallery password.

Are albums included?

Albums are only included in my All Day PLUS package but can be added anytime after your photographs have been delivered to you through the online shop within your gallery! 

What will you wear?

I am always smartly dressed wearing sensible shoes! If you have a specific dress code, theme or idea which you would like me to be a part of then I am more than happy to discuss this with you.

How much is the deposit and why do we have to pay one?

I ask for a 25% non refundable deposit to be paid to hold your date. I do not double book weddings and can only hold your date with this deposit in place. I do this to ensure I am not let down and to be fair to you and other engaged couples. The deposit amount would only change if the 25% does not cover travel expenses for location weddings. In this instance, the deposit amount would be outlined in your personalised quotation. 

When is the balance due?

I ask for the balance at least one month before your wedding. This can be flexible in exceptional circumstances or paid in installments and when agreed with me. For destination weddings, the deposit may be required earlier to make travel and accommodation bookings. 

Are you insured?

I am fully insured and happy to supply copies to venues if requested.

 

What information do you need from me?

All of it! I want to know your day inside out so we will discuss everything on your pre-wedding consultation.

 

Can I request references?

You can indeed! It’s not rude to ask and my Brides and Grooms have left plenty of feedback both on my website, Google Business page and on my Facebook page.

 

Do we sign a contract?

We do! My contract can be viewed ABOVE in PDF form, and I will ask both the Bride and Groom to sign two copies at the pre-wedding consultation. The contract ensures fair treatment for you and covers all eventualities.

What if it rains!?

This is a question I get asked often and there are a few options for bad weather on the big day. If the weather is not terrible and the bride and groom still would like photographs outside then I carry see-through umbrellas in the car at all times! The second option would be to take as many photographs inside the venue as possible to keep everyone dry. And the final option, if the weather is atrocious and the venue lacks space for indoor photos then we can arrange a shoot after the wedding to make sure you have some beautiful photos.

What happens if I cancel my wedding?

If you cancel your photography package I will retain your deposit and any payments which have been made. If your wedding is postponed I will do my best to reschedule your new date and in the event of my already being booked, I will help you to find a suitable alternative. Rebooking may incur fees or be subject to price changes. 

Your photographer should make you feel at ease and no question is silly. You will be spending the majority of this special day with them so it is important to feel a connection, not just with their photography but with them also. I aim to ensure that all my couples go away happy with the whole experience of wedding photography, from couples engagement shoots to help you relax and get used to being photographed, being an extra pair of helpful hands on the day, to the finished product, everything is bespoke and designed to give you and your partner the best memories of this wonderful day.
